KP Mariscal works in a leading energy industry. He is also a freelance technical writer, an amateur pen-and-ink artist, and a student of graphic designing. As the literary agent of Ali Kemal Senan, he represents the Turkish author in internet marketing of the books of Mediterranean and all derived productions of the novelist's tomes.
Born on February 2, 1964, he completed his early education in Naga City, a flourishing metropolis 500 kilometers south of Manila. Philippines. He finished high school and then pursued a science course in chemistry in the same institution - the University of Nueva Caceres.
Writing was not his forte, and his attempt at creative writing only took him as far as composing jejune limericks of reasons and rhymes. When he assumed the post as a layout artist with NC Bulletin, he acquired relevant experience in journalism and his short stint as a sports writer provided the opportunity for a real penpushing job. He remained engrossed with classical literature and feature writing even after college years.
Oddly enough, classical novels expediently peppered his scientific studies. He loves the works of Hugo, Dostoevsky, Ibsen, or Jules Verne. Fictions of Ludlum, Christie, or Sheldon, got him hooked on intriguingly fast-paced novels. The literary icons inspired him to write short stories. His unpublished works were serendipitous - it proved to be a honing ground for his capacity as a revision editor. He now uses an effective method of preserving the meaning, value, and substance of original works that are translated into English.
He is currently working on policies and procedures, coaching and training manuals, technical reports, and proposals. He dabbles in webpage design and culinary art.
